Keep a copy of your spreadsheet
Retain the original file and confirm the target month. A free template and your company’s existing workbook are different formats.
Check IDs, teams and shift definitions
Use unique employee IDs, confirm duplicate names and categories such as work, off and leave. Start/end times and overnight shifts need your own rules.
Choose the matching import option
DAYROVA’s free template and the existing supported company format use quick import without AI. Other formats use the separate structure-analysis flow, which may require an administrator API key and AI charges. Universal compatibility is not guaranteed.
Review the preview before saving
Compare the month, employee count, groups, roles and daily codes with the original. The free template uses Monthly roster only; Example and summary rows are excluded. Blank cells are unassigned.
Decide how to handle existing data
The import panel offers filling blanks or updating existing entries. Review conflicts and options for code definitions and balances. Free templates do not contain leave balances or paid hours.
Apply and verify access
Only applying the import saves it. Confirm the saved month and sample employees, then use existing company invitations and employee links. Employees do not gain administrator permissions by downloading a template.
